Mt Kailash / Mansarover Yatra
To undertake the Mt Kailash/ Mansarover Yatra with completion of the outer Kora is a dream .
My dream became a reality this June , thanks to Himalayan Joy Adventure.
My initial contact with Mr Cholendra began almost a year ago. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about any questions I asked. His prompt replies to my queries was very comforting.
I had read and heard about this trip but nothing could have prepared me about how arduous this journey is.
However Cholendra and his team were always calm confident and went about whatever needed to be done .
Coming down the Dolmala pass I felt that my legs could not possibly walk another 14 Kms.
However Cholendra along with his Tibetan counterpart Mr Tashi scrambled to make alternative arrangements. No horses available!! However they were able to arrange for a 4 wheel drive for me.
I cannot say enough for Himalayan Joy Adventure and the entire team .They are outstanding in their commitment to the safety and comfort of travelers under their care.
I am hoping to do more trips in Nepal and Bhutan with Cholendra and his team.

EBC 2019
My friends and I engaged the Himalayan Joy as our agent / guide for our trek to EBC on the 21st March 2019 - 1st April 2019. It was a wonderful and amazing journey - guides (Tika, Nara and BB) and porters were excellent and they always kept an eye on our well being. We felt very comfortable throughout the hike and bonded well. Thank you for the amazing experience.

If its an unknown adventure and your first time, you want complete reassurance
It was a long time bucket list item to do the Everest Base Camp trek with my high school buddy. I would travel from Auckland/New Zealand and he from Melbourne/Australia. Once we agreed it was happening in January of 2019, then it was a matter of HOW? We started lots of research online until my friend stumbled upon Himalayan Joy via a friend's referral........and we were not disappointed.

They are well organised, very professional but most of all the personal human element was the winner. Unlike large corporate tour groups which may at times be inflexible with schedules, Cholendra was completely open to dates and months. And provided absolutely valuable information about trekking in Nepal which helped us with our decision making. The pricing was reasonable as well. Any additional things we added on was dealt with very honestly.

Our guide Tika and porter Nara were the best! We even had a debate with another group as to who had the best guides!!...lol.

At the end of our trek we had some days to spare so HJA organised all the travel and accommodation for our short 3 day excursion to Pokhara. Tika accompanied us and we had a great commentary on Nepal and its culture during the 6hr drive.

If its an unknown adventure and your first time, you want complete reassurance on everything.....pleased to say we did! What a beautiful part of the world to visit.

Everest Base Camp
Me and my friend had the most amazing experience to trek the Everest Base Camp in January 2019. The success of our trek was in a big part due to the people at Himalayan Joy Adventure. And especially Cholendra, Tika and Nara. Thank you so much guys! These guys were recommended to us by some friends of ours who had previously used them to trek Mount Kailash. Cholendra and his team took care of us very professionally from the time we landed at Kathmandu airport till we left. Cholendra provided us with most valuable guidance and advice before we even left Australia in the lead up to our trip. While on the trek, Tika and Nara were absolutely fantastic. They took great care of us and trip's success is a huge credit to these guys. I will definitely use them again next and I will highly recommend them to anyone thinking of trekking in Nepal.

Organised, efficient, safe and unforgettable
I contacted Cholendra from the agency enquiring about trek for 4 days. I described what I wanted and he and the team designed my dream adventure. I was more then satisfied with trek route suggestion costs, overall service and advice.Cholendra paired me with a guide who suited my style. I preferred to walk at a semi fast pace, and not talk so much. The guide respected this and provided knowledgeable info about the villages,plants, history etc all along the way which I appreciated.
As a solo, young female traveler, I felt safe throughout this testing journey which was key for me. It was a experience I'll never forget in all the positive ways and Cholendra and the team at Himalayan Joy Adventure brought this to life for me.

Langtang Gosaikund trek
I had a great time on this trek,although challenging at times ( slowly slowly!! ) Would like to thank my guide Deepak and young porter Suria for the laughs along the way,
The views were great under clear blue skies,and will live with me forever,as will Nepal.
A country all should visit ,if they can,once in a lifetime.It called me back a second time:)
Many thanks to Cholendra too for changing the itinery to accomadate my time on the trip.Great memories.

Khailash Yatra 2018

Kailash Yatra 2018
Cholendra and his team organised a fabulous trip for our recent Kailash Yatra. They are an excellent and dedicated team. All the pre-trip organisation was easy and Himalaya Joy Adventure (“HJA”) responded to all our queries promptly and took care of everything. It was a sizeable group of 16 of varying ages, fitness and requirements and HJA made sure every single person was individually well taken care of and successfully completed the kailash yatra and parikrama. Their attention to details and safety was impeccable. The weather was horrendous. It was cloudy, it rained, there was a hail storm and it snowed during the parikrama and our trek up dolma la pass but the team on the trek (Cholendra, Nara, Tika, Buddha, Kedar and Poorna) was there every single step of the way making sure that everyone made the trip safely. This was my first trek ever and I was so anxious. I could not have asked for a better team of people to calm my nerves and take care of me throughout the trip. I do not think I could have trekked up dolma la pass without Nara expertly guiding me through the rain and snow. HJA are an exceptional team and I would like to thank them for making my first trek ever unforgettable and an experience of a life time.
