13 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek Overview

The Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of Nepal’s most popular Himalayan journeys. It takes you deep into the Annapurna Sanctuary, a natural bowl of mountains surrounded by tall snowy peaks. The journey combines beautiful landscapes, rich culture, and warm hospitality.

This 13 days package begins in Kathmandu with a scenic drive to Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region. From Pokhara, a short drive brings you to Nayapul, the starting point of your trek. The trail passes through some of the most iconic villages in the region such as Ghandruk, Chhomrong, Dovan, Deurali, and Machhapuchhre Base Camp, before reaching the main destination, Annapurna Base Camp.

Along the way, you will walk through forests filled with rhododendron, bamboo, and oak. Terraced farmlands, rivers, waterfalls, and suspension bridges add more beauty to the journey. As you gain altitude, the scenery becomes more alpine, with open valleys and towering peaks around you.

The trek lies inside the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACAP) which protects wildlife, forests, and local culture. The region is home to the Gurung, Magar, and Thakali communities who maintain their traditional lifestyle and welcome trekkers with warm smiles.

Tea houses along the route offer comfortable rooms, warm food, and a friendly environment. This makes the trek suitable even for first-time trekkers who want a soft introduction to Himalayan walking.

This 13 days itinerary gives you enough time to walk comfortably, rest when needed, and enjoy each part of the trail without rushing. The final destination, Annapurna Base Camp, rewards you with a breathtaking 360 degree mountain view that stays in your memory for a lifetime.

Bookings for the year 2025 and 2026 are now open. We can also adjust the trip based on your time and budget. If you want to know more about the Annapurna Base Camp trek cost or itinerary, you can contact us at any time.

Continuing westward for approximately two hours, you'll ultimately arrive at Annapurna Base Camp. From this vantage point, witness the awe-inspiring views of Annapurna glacier, Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Singachuli, Bhara Chuli, Gangapurna, and various other minor peaks.

Continuing south, you'll arrive at Deurali, where you can enjoy lunch. The journey then leads you through villages such as Himalayan and Dobhan, ultimately guiding you back to Bamboo.

The trek alongside the Modi Khola's bank lasts about 7-8 hours, concluding with your return to Bamboo. Some trekkers may choose to stay at Dobhan rather than descending all the way to Bamboo.
