Annapurna Circuit Trek stands as the second most favored trek within the Annapurna Region, trailing only behind the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Annually, this trek entices over 50,000 enthusiastic trekkers. Its allure lies in the breathtaking vistas of Annapurna peaks, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Kailash, Nilgiri, and the diverse landscapes. A notable highlight of this 15-day adventure is the Thorong La Pass, the highest point of the trek.

The well-marked trails wind through numerous streams, rhododendron forests, and quaint settlements. Amidst the journey, the majestic mountain peaks continually grace the horizon. However, the Annapurna Circuit Trek is more than a visual spectacle; it involves traversing charming villages, staying in cozy tea houses, and forming connections with both locals and fellow trekkers. The warmth and hospitality extended throughout the journey create memorable interactions.

At Himalayan Joy Adventure, we offer a comprehensive 15-day Annapurna Circuit Trek, commencing from Kathmandu. After two nights in Kathmandu, the third day leads to Besisahar. Subsequent travel by jeep takes you to Jagat for an overnight stay. The actual Annapurna round trek starts on the fourth day, encompassing four days to reach Manang, passing through enchanting villages like Dharapani, Chame, and Pisang.

A day in Manang allows for acclimatization, followed by a two-day trek to the Thorong La Pass base. The toughest day arrives as you conquer Thorong La Pass, descending into the restricted Mustang Region. The twelfth day guides you through picturesque Mustang villages, culminating in an overnight stay at Jomsom. The following day, a flight to Pokhara awaits, where a lively evening precedes your return to Kathmandu on the fourteenth day. A farewell dinner marks the end of the journey, with airport transfer on the fifteenth day.

Best Time for Annapurna Circuit Trek

For the Annapurna Circuit Trek, the optimal times are Autumn (September - October - November) when the rains cease, offering clear skies and stunning views. Similarly, Spring (mid-February to April) showcases vibrant rhododendrons, painting the forests red and creating an indescribable ambiance.

Annapurna Circuit Trek Difficulty

The Annapurna Circuit Trek presents a moderately challenging to slightly strenuous adventure that requires careful planning and preparation. Spanning over 100 kilometers (with the actual distance varying between 100 to 160 kilometers depending on the chosen trailhead and endpoint), it stands as one of Nepal's longest treks. The day of crossing Thorung La Pass is notably demanding compared to the rest of the trek.

To undertake this journey, it is essential to be both mentally and physically fit. While no technical expertise is necessary, proper training and preparation are advised before embarking on the Annapurna Circuit Trek. Incorporate activities like jogging, running, and regular exercise into your routine for a few weeks. Additionally, engaging in shorter hikes or treks beforehand will contribute to a more enjoyable and manageable experience on the Annapurna Circuit.

    Useful Information

    Eco-Friendly

Every day, the world grapples with a significant challenge of environmental pollution, and Nepal is no exception. Our field staff members are deeply mindful of environmental concerns at all times, and we extend this awareness to everyone. We recommend to our guests the use of boiled water or water purification pills instead of purchasing bottled water. This practice helps reduce the use of plastic bottles, which take a long time to decompose. While trekking, consider ordering the same food items as a group to minimize fuel consumption, and note that campfires are strongly discouraged. We advocate for responsible travel, leaving only footprints on the trail and ensuring the removal of all non-biodegradable items you bring along.
